Lego Batman Game, designed before or after the sets?

Postby Chosen One » Tue Apr 14, 2009 2:46 am

Hi,

I've recently gotten the Batman game, and it was pleasing to see most if not all the Batman sets in the game.

My question is this. Since seeing that some of the Batman sets featured some original designs not in previous incarnations, were the sets designed before the game's pre-production, and were they based off the game?

Thanx

The game came out after the second year of Batman sets were put on sale. The first wave of Batman sets were likely designed 2 years prior to the game release. This would have made it easy for the game designers to use these set designs.

Ironically, the game greatly increased the popularity of the Batman line after all of the sets had sold out online and at retail shops. Many of these sets were on clearance due to poor sales.

yes, long before. The original batman line that is featured in here was developed as far back as 2005 and this game didn't take nearly that long to make :)
