[NEW STUFF] Collectible Minifigures Series 4

Postby ccjwprongs » Tue Nov 16, 2010 3:18 pm

Rumour from 'toysnbricks' on Series 4 list...

A series of 16 new minifigures! Each minifigure is in a special bag so you can’t tell which minifigure is inside. Each minifigure has its own accessories, baseplate and collector booklet. These minifigures have been inspired by movies, sports, history and everyday life.

Here are the 16 minifigures included: The Monster, Surfing Girl, Sailor, Kimono Girl, Punk, Viking, Speed Skater, Hockey Player, Skateboarder, Man in Safety Suit, Musketeer, Werewolf, Artist, Mad Professor, Football Player and Garden Gnome.

Sounds good to me if true; minus another skateboarder, everything seems cracking! More sportspeople, monster (Frankenstein's?), musketeer, punk, viking etc. are all good in my book :)

Well, if the mad professor is going to get me some Doc Brown hair, I'd be ready to go out and buy a box.

Could this be the best series yet?

Every series fig has sounded great in theory (except the mime) but seeing them is another story. I wasn't interested in a surfer or lifeguard until I saw them. This series sounds good but I'll wait to see which ones are sweet and which ones are sour.

I actually kind of liked the mime. Especially since he came with multiple heads.

The muskateer sounds interesting especially if it comes with a new sword such as an epee.

An epee would be very cool indeed. Incidentally, epee is one of the most commonly used filler words on the New York Times Crossword puzzle. ;)

It's because of all the excess "e's" in there.

Honestly, I'm more looking forward to series 3 than 4, but that's not to say there isn't an impressive-sounding assortment here. I'll reserve true judgment until I see some pics, though.

Why do we need another skaterboarder ? Why do we need a female surfer?!

Seems like they're running out of ideas!

The surfer from Series 2 was one of my favourite figures so far. A female surfer could offer a new style surfboard, new head/hair or perhaps a new swimsuit torso/legs combination :) would certainly keep beach MOCs from looking so samey ;)

yes, but give the lifeguard girl the surfboard and you've got what you need already ...

Not really... For all we know the new girl could have something like a wetsuit or bikini print-- there's plenty of ways to make the figure unique.

Correction: Series THREE has been found in stores. Series Four is still several months away.

On this collection, I'm keen to see the mad professor, Monster, Werewolf & Garden Gnome?
Why, because he might have a mushroom?

The garden gnome rocks, maybe next we can also get a lawn jockey, pink flamingo, some pie tins, and then I can do a complete trailer park front yard.....
