Call for a final Bionicle set

Though we don't cover them in detail on FBTB, we all still love our Castle, Pirates, and Space LEGO too.

Exactly. They aren't even canister-sized sets. If we were to get a line like that, we'd want them to improvements over the originals, but instead they end up being worse than the originals.

Plus there's the whole Gresh and Skrall controversy, since most fans don't like the idea of two spots being taken by two characters who released in superior versions a year ago.

Whereas the vast majority of Bionicle fans think this Matoran Universe Great Spirit set would be the perfect end.

I agree, and though I like the concept, the execution is rather...I don't know...juvenile I guess. Sort of like the Mcdonald's happy meal equivelant of a Bionicle set.

I totally agree with Jargon's statement about barking up the wrong tree here. I would also add that arguing with other non-Bionicle fans here that don't support your idea doesn't help your cause.

LEGO Star Wars fans shouldn't have to explain why they have no interest in a Bionicle set. They just aren't into this line, period. You should instead focus on those who do find the concept interesting, and see if any of them have any influence on LEGO representatives to get your request across. In short, build support and momentum for your idea instead of wasting your energy on those in the community who couldn't care less.

I actually disagree with you, Daz, with the caveat that the should know what was most likely waiting for him here. Even if he got only one more signature for his petition from here, it's still more than he came with. I can't really fault the guy for trying to effect a change he desires, as long as he has realistic expectations of both his response here and for the implementation of his idea at large.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying he shouldn't have posted here, nor that he shouldn't put his idea out there to gain more support from the community at large. I'm just saying that arguing with those here who aren't interested seems like a waste of time and energy.

Also, by arguing with those who aren't interested, Tilius might look a little immature in the eyes of other members, thus making his idea look immature too.

I think it's an issue of practicality, rather than morality.
Also, Tillius, I would think that this set would render such a petition inert:
