Castle Idea and Rumour Thread

OK, so I know alot of you like Castle ( I mean who doesn't LOL ), so I was dying to know what the next sets will be or what people would like to see. List what you would like to see or a rumour that you've heard.

Truth be told, I love LEGO in general and I got into the Castle theme almost as far back as I did Space. I've heard jack as far as upcoming product or rumors are concerned. We were given that little Elvish tidbit in one of the Club Magazines, but if LEGO has any future plans regarding Castle (which I think we can assume they do), they're keeping pretty quiet about it.

There was a rumour going around that castle is over. The last 3 sets that were just released will be the last sets of the castle theme. But i pretty much think castle is dead as its been 2 years and they need to start a new theme(like they do with all themes after 2 years).

I don't honestly think castle is going anywhere. They may shift from the current "fantasy" aspect at some point, but there's no reason to believe castle will go away. I don't recall when or where it was said, but my understanding is that LEGO has more or less implied that City, Castle and Space are their core themes and will stay in regular circulation in one form or another.

Castle has been a late spring or late summer release for the last two years. It is too soon for us to be seeing any preliminary sets. By the Toyfair in mid-February we'll know what's coming out. I would not be surprised if they retool the theme a bit much like KK1 versus KK2. So it may not be a straight line continuation of the theme, but it will still be Castle. It's also possible that it will be a limited year for Castle, since Prince of Persia is coming out.
