No there was human criminals, but human government have become expert on reprogramming humans. Unfortunately they haven't learned how to do so on non-humans.

Maybe it's like the Green Lantern Corps, with each sector protected by a group of natives of that sector. In Kranxx's home sector, maybe all the space police are like him and all the criminals are human.

It may be odd yes, but this way it's simple. And things for kids are better to be simple.

It's not that I wouldn't like to see some sweet alien on the SP side, and some criminal bad guys on the Aliens side, but then again that would probably to much for kids to understand, and so LEGO kept it straight and simple.

It's not racism or "species'ism", it's called marketing!

Children will want things they can identify to, especially in a toy involving role-playing. To an American or European child, it's easier to identify with a human minifig than a alien one.

Does this strategy portrays and encourages many stereotypes (like the famous "us VS them")? Absolutely! But you can't blame LEGO for going down that road when other toys like Barbie, Polly Pocket or Power Rangers blantantly do so as well.

There's the higher road, and the profitable one. Sometimes, companies take the one in the middle, but most of the time, they take the profitable one.

Humans suck. Lego obviously has started a xenophobic campaign of hate by heading straight to the market that will respond the most: children.

I will say this though, Space Police probably needs to rethink their undercover agent methods, since they might not work very well, but at least they are doing better than those hippie Space Police II officers. They never even caught anybody. Now SP I, they put those Blacktron punks in their place. With Blacktron graffiti on the SP III sets, you could make up some backstory than Blacktron and the aliens work together, or at least both occupy the intergalactic criminal environment. Eh? Ehh??
