And it has to be involved 4 people (three who hold the signs, 1 who makes the photo)? Do I have to know these people? Or can it be anyone who might be friendly enough to help out?

The rules:

You will need to submit a photo of you with 2 other people each holding up a sign in the proper order while riding public transportation.

It doesn't say anything about your relationship to those people, nor does it say you can't use a tripod to take the picture, or ask a stranger to take a picture. Not sure why there was any confusion?

I took my picture myself, and I believe that would have counted if we had been on a bus. And if someone had looked at the camera, showing his sign instead of eating it.

BTW, am I out of this? Does "First person to submit a valid entry wins!" overrule "You may enter a challenge only once. Multiple answers/photos in your reply will disqualify you for that challenge."?

unfortunately no since not jsut anyone can get on the bus.

just so we're clear, public transportation is a transit bus, a train/subway car, or a street trolley. i will also accept a passenger airliner and a cruise ship. unless i'm forgetting something but I think that just about covers it.

This challenge is too difficult.
I went to the local train station this morning, went into the train and was looking if there are 3 people which I could ask to hold the sign. But in the whole car where only about 2, and these did not look like they wanted to be disturbed.

Granted, the middle person isn't quite holding his own sign, but given that he looks about attentive as a puppy, I'm willing to let that slide. Congrats!
