Well, if you guys want to escape the horrible heat and humidity, you can always come up here to Cleveland. Let me think...today it was probably a high of around 36 degrees. Any takers? At least it's supposed to be in the 40s and low 50s for the next few days, although I would rather be golfing in sunny Florida or Texas for that matter.

You are all a bunch of wusses. Up here in Minnesota, we have the largest temperature swings that I know of, with highs in the summer well above 100 (with significant humidity) and lows well below -10. There may be places that get hotter and there may be places that get colder, but nobody has that large of differences between their highs and their lows (Texas may get hotter, but the coldest they ever get is like 70). Oh, and at least we don't have earthquakes, volcanoes, or hurricanes, although we do have blizzards and the occasional tornado.

Eh, we got the same thing when I lived in South Dakota. The difference is that you have a few days warning before a change there. In Arkansas, we've had an 82 day turn into a 2 day...

No and no. Well, today was a grand day...mid 50s and lots of sun, and honestly, I felt like I was burning up in school. The week ahead for the Cleveland area looks good too. It should stay around the mid 50s, and at the worst drop down to the low 40s for a day of two.

Well California may be the land of fruits and nuts but at least the weather is reeeeeally nice. San Jose has particularly awesome weather even for Northern California. You get an average of about 70 degrees all year round and very little humidity.
It gets hot in the summer but its only really bad for like a week or two and as for cold weather maybe a week or so in the 30's. What does get people though is the fact that we're actually considered semi arrid so you have to be prepared for the temperature to drop like a brick when you least expect it. It often drops by more than 30 degrees. Its not that its really that cold, it just catches you off gaurd and unprepared and since its not humid it goes right down to your bones.
We also have some serious micro climates too. So you can drive 35-40 miles and get really different, distinct weather patterns.

I was dating a girl from Minnesota for a while when she first moved out here and said that she was used to Minnesota when i offered her a sweater to take before heading out at dusk to do something, i cant remember what for the life of me. Needless to say she froze her butt off when the sun went down. You just have to be prepared.
