I feel like I belong in that group. What'd they look like before? I see they are big, round, some are blue, some are red...

At the risk of being snarky, can we have an 'indifferent' option to vote for??? I don't love or hate them either way. So a 'myah', or 'I'll use them either way' button would get my vote.

I went with "hate," even though I don't feel that strongly, I just don't care for them. Besides, hate leads to suffering.

The new icons have a reduced contrast in the overall icon, making the details less noticeable. They also don't match the look of the original icons, which are still being used on the index page.

I like the blue icon glassy, but the red one just looks blurry to me. I don't really have an opinion, just like that guy.

the glass effect does blur the image a bit. i played around with making some of the details stand out a bit more behind the glass effect by either darkening the image elements like the lines and the asterisk, or reducing the opacity to make it more see-through. in the end, what you see is what i came away happy with. and with that, i'll take indifferent as a vote of yes :-D

oh, and you should the glassy icons even on the index page.

It's not like the icons were masterpieces of artwork that are now being covered by the glass effect... they looked too basic before in my opinion, now they look like those cool marble bead things that you put in bowls and set on an end table for decoration.

I think the glass icons look quite cool, but when you hover over a forum you can see some white pixels round the edge.

okay i fixed the jagged edges. diffusion transparency dither ftw!

I love them, the old ones hurst my eyes and it was hard to tell if they were read or unread.
