Lighter Text?

Postby Master Fetty » Sat Jan 23, 2010 11:28 am

The colour of the text for everyone's name appears to have got lighter. Its gone from a nice, dark blue to a garish, light blue.

I wouldn't normally moan about something as minor as this, but it really distracts on every page. Why was this change implemented and could it be changed back.

OR, is my browser (Firefox 3.whatever is most recent) messing up?

I noticed this too. I'm not sure if it's bad so much as it's different. I guess if I had to choose, I'd take the dark blue since it seemed to fit better, but that's just personal preference.

Heh, I was just about to post about it, too.

It really is quite distracting. I'm running IE7, so I don't think it's a browser problem.

I noticed that it's not just the regular members' names either--both mod-green is lighter, admin-red is too. Even Ace's special orange hue is lighter.

I'm also using the most recent firefox, but I don't think this is a browser issue either.

Perhaps we should take this to mean that the admins/mods want everyone to lighten up around here. :p

the colors were intentionally changed for theme compabitility. the dark blue was hard to look at the power miners theme when viewing "who's online" and "birthdays" at the bottom of the index page.

i'll keep working on it til i find a nice balance.

but if no one cares for the bottom of the page info then I can revert back to the dark blue.

Frankly, I didn't mind either way. I just happened to see because it was a rather noticeable contrast to the dark blue of before. They both look fine to me.

Btw, the mods are still lighter in color...if anyone cares.
