Andi - I didn't make the thread in order that you'd organize this again. I'm sorry that you had a bad trading experience. I'd be willing to organize this, but if there isn't a decent # of people who are interested, it might be best to skip it this year.

Andi, considering that there haven't been many replies, it's possible that people aren't interested anymore. However, I will volunteer to organize this. I know this is a bit late this year, but we can still get this done.

Details:
Deadline is Nov 30 11:59 PM Pacific time (GMT -8:00) to participate, then I figure out who sends to whom.
Post in here if you're interested in participating.
Specify if you will ship within your country or internationally.
Send a set or a MOC or parts worth approx. 10-15 $/£/€ (or your local currency) to the person drawn for you.
Expect the same from the person drawn to send to you.
Ideally, I would like to see everybody getting a package in the mail by Christmas, but that's not always possible.
I will follow up with all participants to check if items have been sent and/or received.

Caveats:
Don't put your name down if you cannot afford to participate or are just trying to score free LEGO without sending some out too
In other words, be a responsible adult about this, even if you're not there chronologically.
People who agree to participate and then wuss out or don't send their side will be publicly called out on here.
I expect everybody to post when they receive their gift.
Please don't go all cheap and dump off your stash of say, extra helmet visors on an unsuspecting person.
In past years, I have found a new set and sent that. But, that's only because I can't MOC for anything.

Anyone who participates but doesn't send their side should expect to receive a negative feedback on the Straight Shooters list, with all the consequences that might result from this.

On the otherhand, all who do receive their gifts are encouraged to post positive feedback on the SSL, as this exchange is considered by all means a trade made through this forum.

andi, you should mention who never sent you your gift so that person is barred from participating this go round.

maybe for this round, and future gift exchanges, we limit participation to some number, like 10 people or something small to keep the chances of 100% success high.

Ace, to my account, I think everyone got their gifts last year. The problem Andi is referring to happened on another deal she made with another member during the past year.

May I also add that this issue was resolved through a Paypal claim and that the Trading Guild consider this matter closed.

But, of course, this is your website, so who am I to say what you can and can't say here?

The deadline to participate is coming up tonight. I'd like at least one other person to participate so things are even. This is always a fun little exchange. I've participated for the last three years and have always enjoyed what I received, even though I haven't had a chance to build the nice Creator set that I got from Daz last year. (It's only because it's buried in the closet where I keep the unbuilt LEGO).
