Personally, I think it's for the best. It'll let each film in the series have its own distinct tone as well as respectfully acknowledge Ledger's performance as uniquely his own. Still, makes you wonder what villain could top The Joker. Guess we'll find out eventually.

I've heard plans of casting Johnny Depp as the Riddler...am I crazy or has that rumor been circulated around teh interwebs? I'm too lazy to look.
