Well, on July 3rd, my uncle and I went to a Twins game in
the greatest stadium in North America (in any sport), which not-so-coincidentally happened to by military appreciation day.
Of particular interest(and a first for the stadium): Before the game, four marines parachuted into the stadium, one of whom unfurled an American flag behind him as he decended:

Also, in was a little funny to see marines having to use their entire body weight to hold the giant flag down during the National Anthem:

All in all, it was an enjoyable, albeit hot, experience. It was a little upsetting when the Twins blew their 3-run lead in the 7th (and even more upsetting when the Rays hit a friggen' grand-slam home run), but still, I had a fun time. Plus, Jim Thome both tied and then surpassed Harmen Killebrew's homerun record with back-to-back homeruns, which was cool.
All-in-all, a very enjoyable 4th-of-July weekend for me.
