Comic Con pics

Postby onions » Mon Jul 27, 2009 3:11 pm

Comic Con came and went, and as usual I had a blast. One of these days I'll stay through Saturday night and get a chance to go to the masquerade.

Please view my pics so I can feel good about myself:

Nice photos ... I'd be interested to know how you asked the various "babes" to pose ... especially the ones where you were focusing on certain body parts ;)

I was gonna comment on the babe pics yesterday, but I thought I don't want to be the only one. Thanks for making me not look so bad people.

I only have one question; Where were these nerd hotties when I was in High School? Then again, when I stop and think- in diapers (if they were even born yet).

They aren't really "nerd" hotties. But rather hotties payed to dress up like that.

They aren't all paid, but the rest aren't all nerds anyways. Some just love attention and know it's easy to impress convention goers.

I don't know if I would want to pay one of these hotties- that would take me to a whole new realm of trouble. :|

I think I see a new Seth Rogin movie here. I Scored with a Convention Babe

No, they're paid by companies to get attention for whatever they're shilling. You've never heard of booth babes?

No but I've seen good pictures of them (here).

Just kidding. I knew about the booth babes at car shows, but I didn't realize that they are used in the con arena too. I've only ever been to one fan con and that was C-IV. I've tried a few times to make it to Comic Con, but something happens since I'm a con noob and I don't get a chance to go. After C-IV I was going to go, but I had the date wrong and had other plans. 2008 CC I was just going to go down and pay at the door, but found out you couldn't do that. 2009 I tried to get tickets back in March, but the day I could go was already sold out. I'm really going to do my best to go in 2010, largely due to Onion's pictures. I'm gonna start looking to buy tickets much earlier this time- like around December.

@ Onions- I wish I could have been there when you took the shots of of the "boots." Very smooth my man, very smooth. ;)

Nice stuff.

Tangentially, the San Diego LUG is discussing whether to put down the money for our own fan booth next year. :D
