RoboGeisha (the coolest thing you will see all week)

It's like the old BCS, except the 2.0 makes it fancy. Wondering why you can't post here? Check out the rules and expectations, and it all should be made clear...

For as long as I live I'll never understand the Japanese.

But that won't prevent me from be entertained by them.

You know, I'm all for ridiculous Japanese crap. But this... this is just stupid on a Uwe Boll level.

Are you saying that trailer didn't entertain you? You're one tough cookie.

I'm not saying I was entirely unentertained, but the ratio of amusement vs exasperated sighs was pretty poor.

What in holy Hell was that? I can't believe I watched all 3 minutes of that crap.

It looked like it was made in Windows Movie Maker by a 9 year old who was amused by geishas, bleeding buildings, spectacular special effects, and geisha: noun/adjective.

Exactly.

In many ways, it reminds me of this trailer I stumbled upon a while back.

So are the people who made RoboGiesha the Japanese equivalant of the Wayans Brothers? I wasn't sure if this was a comedy or a slasher film. I saw a few influences from other movies: Clockwork Orange, Godzilla, Benny Hill (the bust guns), and Big Trouble in Little China. I think this is the first time I've seen such a gruesome butt stabbing. So it does have that going for it.

The trailer is incredibly stupid, as in "trying to be funny but failing and just being stupid" stupid.

I don't know...the fact that they got Strongbad to narrate is pretty impressive. And the royalty free, elevator approximation of "Live and Let Die" suits the trailer pretty well.
