How to pronounce Shazam?

This topic left me questioning the pronounciation of Shazam. I know if you look on the interwebz, and losetube, they all say sha-ZAM.

All my life I've only heard sha-ZAM, but now that it's a character name, I tend to think it should be more calmly pronounced SHA-zam, rhymes with "chasm", so that it sounds less like an exclamation word like "pow", "bang", or "bazinga", and more like an ancient Biblical name. What do you think?
