As I was building the Ghostbuster Firehouse, I noticed that my method of building roofs isn't very efficient, or sturdy. Typically, what I'll do is I'll lay out the plates to cover the area, then put random plates under them to hold it together. This tends to look messy at a certain perspective, and is also unsturdy, as I mentioned before. My question is how do you guys build roofs? Do you plan out how each plate will work together, and plan out how aesthetically pleasing the support would look? Is there any adivice you'd have for people like me who can't build roofs?
