Thanks for the reply. I knew it wouldn't be very simple, but tinkering with it, I think I'll get the colors how I want them.

Great adding the bricklink/official LEGO "translation," but does anyone know if bricklink will eventually change their colors? It would be a good idea as it looks like some of you agree but unless I missed it does anyone know who is in charge of bricklink and if they will change it?

All the handheld color meters used for quality control in plastic molding shops (that I've seen thus far) returned RGB values. One I saw in use had a value that measured how "reflective" the surface finish was. And I've heard about equipment that measures how translucent a plastic part is.

& TLG probably uses something similar to Photoshop to develop its decals in house.

I don't know that we have an official source on this yet, but Eurobricks is saying the 2011 revised palette has been made available:
