After trying it myself, I call witchcraft. I have no suggestions for alternate methods and want to see a close up of the original model to confirm if they've been modified or not.

It wasn't as easy as I thought it might be, but it is possible. It is certainly tricky to get the angles right, as any attempts to adjust the levers causes them to pop right out again.

Great, thanks for solving this! Knowing how hard it is to do, and how fragile it is, I'll just use a small base with a lever, and just have 1 feather for the angry bird.
