How have we gone almost a whole year in the new forums without this topic coming up? Weird.

No, I'm like a billion percent positive that this is somewhere already on the forums...

I looked and turned up nuttin'...anywho...I display my stuff on shelves. When I run out of shelves, I "display" my stuff on top of my desk, sorting drawers, etc...wherever I can find room.

I suppose this one is specifically for SW LEGO, but it's practically the exact same title even. :p

I took 2 sheets of nice (cheap at the time) maple laminated plywood and made a six shelf, wall mounted 'unit' to display my sets. I figured six shelves would work out perfectly...until CW came along. As for the UCS stuff, it get time on top of dressers, computer desks. The Death Star II set is hanging from the ceiling in my sons room. The issue I always have is dusting. I end up spending a good full day every couple months vaccuuming off the dust...such a pain in the ashoka.

If you could, which items from IKEA are you using???

I currently have one shelve occupied on a bookshelf. I only have a few SW sets on there (4 2010 Battlepacks, Republic Fighter Tank, Imperial and Rebel battle packs, clone and droid battle packs from 2009 &2007, Vaders Tie, and Republic Attack Shuttle) but I plan on getting shelves that you can put on walls soon, then putting most of the remainder of my collection on there. pics soon.

Displaying Your Lego Sets

Postby SWfanforever » Mon Jan 07, 2013 11:10 am

Hello. I still have a rather small collection of Legos, but the sets I do have I am running out of room on a couple bookcase shelves. I was thinking about what some options might be for displaying the sets. I have a couple larger sets and they do take up a lot of room. Does anyone have suggestions for recommendations for how to display your sets. I can see that when I do acquire a larger collection how this could be a problem.

I've been having the same issue so I did a bit of googleing for ideas and found that building tempered glass cubes was a good idea. It looks nice, it's fairly cheap and they're stackable, the only problem is I need a large cube to fit the 10179.

I found some cool metal shelves at Lowe's that I use for display. I think they are maybe $55 for a 5 level shelf that measures 18x36 on each level.
