So the entries are in and the voting is going to start this weekend... only forum members are allowed to vote, and as such registrations will be locked down for a few days to make sure no one gets any clever ideas... sorry but, why my Podracer isn't in the list ?
I entred it 2 days before deadline and it was aproved, i sax it in the Flickr pool !!!
They are all in it except mine.

Your post in the entries thread has a [disqualified] label on it. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing it's because you didn't tag the photo you linked to in your post with " 2009 Podracer Challenge".
You only tagged one of your pictures, which has the same name as the one you linked to, but sadly, it isn't the one you linked to...

So, it's Saturday. Where is the thread that we're supposed to vote in? Is this it, or is it a different one? (I'm honestly not expecting to get terribly high on the scale. I did it for fun. But that's a good reason, right?)

It hasn't been put up yet. The post said "voting will start this weekend", not "voting will start Saturday".

The picture you put into the contest thread is a different one from the one in the pool (even though it IS the same picture), why you used two separate pics to enter is beyond me, and that is probably where you went wrong.

there wasn't a tag on the pictrue i posted, so i made another...
It's really a foolish reason to disqualify someone who as worked hard on his pod !

Surely it was more foolish to tag a photo which you didn't post in the official entry thread?

It does seem a bit harsh to disqualify several entries based on incorrect or a lack or a tag on Flickr, but the rules were pretty clear and there was a warning given, so you only have yourself to blame really

Robo, you didn't tag your flickr photo with "FBTB" and "2009 Podracer Challenge", that is why you are DQd, and your picture entry post does have the DQd tag on it.

You put 2009 Podracer Challenge in the title of the picture, not the tags.

technically, you should've submitted the picture *with* tags into the pool and not the one *without* tags ...

I tagged mine but it was still disqualified. I don't really understand what was the problem. What was wrong with my tags?
It's not that big a deal considering my pod didn't hold a candle to some of the other pods, but a little dissapointing none the less.

EDIT: ah, was it because 2009 Podracer challenge was spilt up into three seperate tags? That's annoying.

This is exactly true. I was very strict with the rules because it's important or people to follow them, and ask when they're not sure.

Capn Spider: Your entry pic is not tagged or in the FBTB Group.

Robo-Knight: Your entry picture is not tagged, I even warned you on flickr and you didn't fix it.

Alternative Radio: Your entry picture was not tagged correctly and again my warning was ignored.

I'm sorry that you guys didn't pass inspection, just try and be more careful in the future and don't be afraid to ask for help.

I can't find any reason for my pod to be disqualified and I am voicing my opinon with the rest of the complaint notices. Please let me know why mine was disqualified since it followed the rules perfectly. Thank you!

Mine was disqualified as well. In fact, it seems the staff deleted my submission post entirely. They even removed my podracer pictures from Flickr!

Why was mine disqualified? I made sure I entered the right pick, put a tag, and entered it in the pool but I am still disqualified!?!?

This really sucks!
