:D Knight, love the greebling but it just sorta looks like an over-weight slug. Knobby, wow there brother, that's cool. Looks like one of them Star Wars Dropships. Although it doesn't really have the Star Wars Bounty Hunter feel. It looks more like a modern attack helicopter/jet. Still cool though.

Niobrara Shaar & Arkose VII

At nearly 600 years old, and one of the last of her species, Niobrara Shaar is one of the lesser-known bounty hunters in the galaxy. She is kept alive by a biomechanical suit which indirectly served as a prototype for the future General Grievous. Niobrara has equipped herself with a modified hand cannon that has an ever-useful 'stun' setting.

Her ship, Arkose VII, is the final design in a series of spy ships from her home planet of Felucia. The overall morphology and wingspan give the ship excellent atmospheric maneuverability. This trait aids in space flight, and Niobrara has also outfitted her ship with a hyperdrive, increased deflector shield projectors, two prisoner holding cells, and two proton torpedo cannons (to deal with any moon-like space stations that get in the way).

As mentioned above, the prisoner holding cells have been attached to the bottom of the ship, and are made out of the same material as Arkose VII's windshield. The strengthened shield projectors give extra protection for the bounty. Also seen in this shot is the ship's hyperdrive engine (which actually lights up and makes sounds!*)

My entry to the contest.

Byron Madsen - The Bounty Hunter
Byron Madsen is a former Imperial TIE pilot who realised that hunting down bounties was commercially and economically more profitable than hunting down rebels. Therefore, once his term was over, he decided not to sign up again and instead went on buying his own ship. For some reasons, maybe even because of nostalgia, he decided to keep his Imperial helmet.

Please confirm my entry is legit. :)

Hi,

Very nice stuff happening, I agree with Stevefrog, make sure you names are all there or else we could land up with a few unknowns, and thats good for the next hunter!

zhouston –
The brick built wings are beautiful, but are they sturdy?
One of the things I struggle with is the balance between cool design and structural stability (like a set that would actually be released from TLG).

Well the wings themselves are definitely sturdy (not that I plan on throwing in on a hardwood floor or anything), but you may be referring to the strength of their connection to the rest of the ship; among a system of weird tecnic pieces, there are actually only four of these 30365 style of hinges angling them downwards, which surprisingly was more than enough to keep them in place.

and just for the future (and this goes for all contest entries), try to comment on the flickr page or something if you have specific questions to keep the contest forum clear. That being said, any and all questions are welcome :)

not been here for a while, and the competition is reallly looking good!
some great creativity here!
onions: do you really need to see more photos of how the holding cell fits into "the falling raindrop"? or has solo cleared it up for you? he is bang on: it folds around the prisoner and sits right behind the cockpit. in much the same way that a couple of mid twentieth century hoods might wrap up their catch in a bit of carpet and stick him in the boot of their car. classy.

or trunk, or trunk.

anyway- happy to take more photos if i have to- but there's a beautiful new baby in our house at the moment so might not get a chance.

all good.

some great building going on here fellas! good luck to everyone- looking forward to seeing more top stuff...

Bounty Hunter - Cra'Zed: Son to a wealthy spices' merchant, Cra'Zed lost everything when the CIS army destroyed his home city to test a new weapon. His family dead, his father's wealth gone, his planet doomed, Cra'Zed decided to 'switch-off': it was futile to go mad to avoid going mad! He started traveling the Galaxy and taking risks other would not. Soon, he became known as one of the most dangerous adventurers around. To sustain himself and his new friend and aid, Quitranl, he took up the bounty hunting job. Unfortunately, he does not always remember to keep his preys alive...

Ship - The Laugh Box: Once a bank transport, this ship is equiped with the best sensors array money can get, heavy weapons and near the fastest engines in the Galaxy. Cra'Zed made some special modifications to it, including hidden weapons and a cryo-chamber to host his preys.
Weapons:
- 2 plasma cannons and 2 laser cannons on a swivel mount on the nose
- 4 forward point-defense laser cannons (2 on each side of the cockpit)
- 2 plasma turrets (one per wing mounted on sliding platforms)
- 6 laser cannons (3 per wing tip)
- 8 torpedo launchers (hidden in the nacelles)
- 2 binary backward point-defense laser cannons (hidden in the landing gear)
Engines:
- Two XXL thrusters with hyperdrive capabilities
- a fusion core for weapons needs only (those plasma turrets can suck quite a bit of power, you know).

Prisoner compartment - A detachable cryo-chamber to host the bounties. It goes well for both live and dead ones!
