MM2014SWR Elite Eight: rolli vs Mr.Brickman

Postby Solo » Sun Aug 10, 2014 12:42 am

Round 3 (Elite Eight): Walkers
A little more challenging. Another seven days to build (8/10-8/16) and two to vote (8/17-8/18).

The deadline for this round is 11:59PM PST on Saturday August 16th.

This thread is for the builders listed above. Post your submission photos in here when you're ready, and the poll will be added once the deadline passes.

Good luck and thanks again for participating!

The All Terrain Aristocratic Traveler

I hereby proudly present the work of three days of madness, very little sleep and one crazy idea that started everything: What if someone mashed up AT-ATs with the Orient Express?

"You want to visit Hoth without getting your feet cold? You’d like to watch Banthas on Tatooine but hate the idea of sand on your cloths? You want to travel in luxury and style?
Wait no further and visit one of our travel agencies and book your amazing journey on one of our AT-ATs. Luxury travel on 4 feet!“

Decided to also produce a leaflet with some detail shots showcasing the interior. Head over to flickr to view it as I'm not allowed to display it here due to the contests' rules (thanks for the heads-up, dWhisper & sorry for that!).

Thanks for viewing and best of luck to all the other seven remaining contestants! Looking forward to some amazing builds - may the steam be with you!

rolli, your top picture is cool, but that second one is not allowed by the rules. Stick it in your Flickr page, which you can link to here.

Much better!
If the above post didn't offend you, you're probably reading it wrong.

Here's my Armored Trackless Steam Transport, the "Pollo Loco." It's basically a steam locomotive on legs featuring armor enhancements, toe knives, twin rifles, a flame thrower, and a "roulette wheel." Coal is carried in the crate mounted behind the seats to feed the furnace in the cockpit, which then drops down into the fire box under the cabin to heat the boiler and so on. This walker has been hijacked by Charles "Chewie" Bacchus and his rascally companions.
