:(

Bummed that my opponent was a no show. I didn't want to move up that way...
If the above post didn't offend you, you're probably reading it wrong.

Wow, the quality of the entries went way up. Nice job! I'd like to see everyone keep building, but as Kurgan, the wise poet/philosopher/homicidal maniac once said, "There can be only one!"

well the thing i'm most proud of now for my two builds is they made it on the NYC Subway from: here in Queens-under the East River-up through Manhattan-under the Harlem River-up through The Bronx all the way to Woodlawn (about as far north as you can go on the subway give or take) then a quick ride up to Yonkers from a LUGmate and then the whole thing in reverse back home plus two Westchester County Bee-Line buses to get back to Woodlawn and they're still in 'one piece' (i took the main components apart and bubble wrapped them for each part but nothing major disintegrated =-)

I think i've been hanging out with Blake "I build really solid" Foster too much... when a dude makes swooshable 6 foot long SHIPs he can't be a good influence ;-) (and OMFG you need to see his M-TRON Monorail diorama he's been working on)

No kidding, he showed me his Octan base at length at BFVA - ridiculously impressive. Steal all Blake's secrets - and tell them to us!

Congrats to all those who have advanced to round three. There was a few extremely close polls this round. Also may I suggest for next year that the tournament be double elimination that way if two of the best builders get paired in a round the loser still has a chance to make it to the championship. This of course would involve two separate brackets and would be way more complicated but it would make it more interesting and let people have an opportunity to build more.

Amazing contest here. And it seems the builds keep getting better and better. Certainly, the best is yet to come.

Sorry for the no show everyone, especially 123harshaw. Unfortunately real life got in the way of Lego and the internet.

Are plain colored backgrounds with a drop-shadows allowed?
or is that considered too much editing?

I did solid-colored background replacement and drop shadows in my entries, it seems to be fine just so long as the editing is minimal. ;)
