I am more interested in the parts than the figs...

From my experience of having organized more than a dozen drafts, I prefer to split figs into lots of 1 or 2 instead of giving 1 of each to every participant. That way everyone has a high chance of getting at least 1 of any fig he wants and no one who doesn't want figs is stuck with them.
