Making some galactic marines....

Postby CommanderKeller » Sat Nov 07, 2009 7:01 pm

Ok, for the helmet and torso color. What color paint or sharpie should I use? Has anyone done a marine and could recommend some color tones?

How about not destroying LEGO and just pretending they're the right colour?

Well, they said on wookiepedia that the color is actually maroon. I have seen red paint on the helmets and it does not look too good.

@dano
These are for showcase only.

I use Republic Red (Dark Red) for most of my Clone Customs.

Paint always looks better than sharpie. Go for a crimson or dark red shade. Closer to TLG dark red would be better. A lot of hobby paints show the end result color on the bottle, just bring a dark red LEGO piece and compare.
