Can't tell how the front of LEGO's model looks, so I just I just put a technic friction piece to keep the front half from sliding off the 10 stud long axle.
Also changed the solar panels from three 1x6 tiles to three 2x2 tiles and three 1x2 tiles. I have the 2x2 tiles connecting the 1x6 black plate to the 2x6 black plate to make the solar panels more sturdy.
Finally, used hinges on the lens cover so it'll open and close.
