I though I'd post my most recent build here. Consider this the Imperial version of my Rebel M-Wing Viper from the alphabet starfighter contest.

Wow! The design looks really sturdy!

Oh, I LIKE it! Looks menacing compared to the Rebel version.

But the beheaded, permanently affixed Astromech on these designs always bugs me. I still can't get used to it.

Yeah, I was on the fence about including it. Structurally, there wasn't a great way to make spot for a complete droid. Aesthetically, I preferred it to the exposed studs, or a tile/plate of some kind... but I could have easilly gone without it. It was the last thing I added, and it does bug me too with it being on a sloped piece.

Great design. The landing gear was a nice tounch as well. The astromech doesn't bother me too much. It fits in with the general scheme of the V-wing. Given that it is a long range fighter the astromech is necessary.

I agree the droid fits in nicely.

Love this model it has a lot of great details packed into a small ship.
