Hi,
I'm a new member and I come from France .
I want show you one of my MOC : An UCS AT-TE Walker .
This MOC was inspired by Reto Geiger'one named Warhawk on the old forum .

Head, Guns, are similar, but I've modified everything else (like foot, make an interior...)

I started with that :

I bought parts on BrickLink, and when I've received them, Wednesday 10 of October (2008), I started to build it :

Pssst... I edited your pictures into links except the one overview shot because that was an awful lot to load on a single page. Please make sure to remember our image guidelines when sharing any more of your awesome MOCs like this! :D - Don

I must say that's very impressive. Aso the first AT-TE I've seen done at the UCS scale. The only thing I notice and I could very well be wrong, isn't it supposed to be a bit longer?

Very very cool.

My one suggestion would be to add some dark red highlights to give it some color. Like here.

Most impressive indeed. Very well done, the feet are great, as is the rest of it. I agree that it needs some colour highlights too, although it looks like it's pretty much fresh of the production line right now.

Now, this looks nice, and it looks even better in your Geonosis diorama. You are a great builder.

I don't know why I dropped back here again lately. LEGO can no longer hold my interest, and I'm almost certainly gone forever. Bye to all who remember me.

Thanks, but the only one problem, is that the AT-TE is really too big for this dio.

Thanks you all for your comments and thanks at Don for have edited my pics :D .

That is amazing!

I am speechless! All the detail, all the bricks... soooooo awesome!

I wonder why Lego hasn't made this yet, it would be great for them!

I've added some dark red parts on the MOC , and the head is now Dark red .
Did you think the dark red on the head is better than the gray ?

That's lookin mighty impressive...the windscreens are a bit foggy though, and it would probably improve the look of the turrets if you added some 1x1 round bricks to the gaps as seen here:

Considering the overall studdyness of the MOC I'm with Ace on this one, plate built spheres would look good.

Hi,
Last week I decided to remake the arms/legs of the walker like on the following pic :
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3763532
In my Brickshelf Gallery you can see the new design and a comparison with the old . I just need to change the dish 4 x 4 Dark Bley by dish 4 x 4 with AT-TE pattern .

Yowza. That's very impressive. I applaud you even trying to do this in UCS scale because with all the angles and odd proportions it's a killer. Some of the plates don't connect very well but I tore my hair out over the same thing when modding my Millennium Falcon so don't sweat that. Another thing, which I know you can't change, is that the Republic insignia is way too small (because it was designed for minifig scale anyway).

I do love the maroon highlights on the cockpit, it makes it look so much more eye-catching. Try to dot the body with some maroon pieces as well, it would really bring out the unique shape. All in all, impressive, most impressive.

Man, is it AT-TE season or something? Whatever it is, all of them have been fantastic, and yours is no exception. The only thing you might need to fix is all the little gaps. They really aren't too distracting, just a minor gripe. Other than that, this looks, or is looking, great. I even see in your brickshelf folder you are putting in an interior. That really puts the model far beyond any other AT-TE I've seen! Well, log off your computer and get to work!
They're all wasted!
