I was about to say "hey, that looks more like the suits from the short, not D-9" ...then I read your post instead of just oogling the pictures.

I'd love to se one with more detail, but you certainly nailed the shape.

This is one of my first mech-style builds and my first in miniland scale. I wanted to use that specific piece for the visor and built from there. I think parts of it could be more detailed, but at that scale and with the poor reference pictures available, it's hard to decide whether I stick with the shape or the details. You figured out which I picked. ;-)

Do you have any suggestions about how to execute that detail, i.e. where and what pieces?

Great work. They are easily recognizable from the film clip. Great photography work too. I find that the contrast between the table and the darkness around it, really helps to highlight the details on the figures and makes them look menacing.
