This is the Lancer Cycle appeared in the late 80s cartoon show Visionaries and was used by the shows protagonist lot; The Spectral Knights. Visionaries was an unsuccessful Hasbro toy line that like the show only lasted one season. The premise was that Prysmos; a technological advanced planet suffers a cataclysm when everything electronically ceases to function and in a very short time the planets population reverts to a medieval type society with feuding kingdoms.
At this point Magic resurfaces in the form of a wizard named Merklin who holds a challenge where any Knight who can reach the summit of his mountain domain will be rewarded with magical powers.
At least 14 of the many contenders accomplish this and given how they overcame the challenge’s obstacles, or their personalities even, is each rewarded with an animal totem embedded upon their armour which they can assume the form of. The knights form two opposing sides; The Spectral Knights and the Darkling Lords.
The latter are the first to discover that some of them who were not fortunate to be given additional magic power in the form of Power Staffs. Can however restart certain technologies such as vehicles and they use this advantage to attack the Spectral Knights and imprison them.
However the SK escape their prison and after commandeering two of the four vehicles the DL have salvaged are able to even the playing field.
The Lancer Cycle here is operated by Ectar who possesses the animal totem of the Fox for his cunning and sharp senses. While being able to reactivate it, Ectar also has the ability to infuse it with magical capabilities. Mainly projecting two holographic hands out of the canopy that then propel energy bolts that add to its fire Power. Aside from that it is also armed with one energy cannon mounted on its left side and a battering lance on its right.
Many episodes in the series showed that the Lancer Cycle could only accommodate its driver, and any passenger would be required to hold on for dear life on the outside when riding. Yet one episode showed that it did come with a backseat for a second rider.
My version here is designed to have two figures riding in the front, and also allow for a third to travel in the manor I mentioned first.
I should also mention that like all the vehicles and the Knights Power Staffs, an incantation was required to invoke the magic they possessed. In the Lancer Cycle’s case it went…
"Shield this craft from one and all. Reflect, deflect, depose and fall!" –
This spell was never actually used in either the cartoon or the short lived comic series.
