Upcoming Ultimate Spider-man Set Figs Revealed

Spiderman legomarvel

I posted Sara Hollin‘s pics from the back of the comic included in one of the Avengers sets after Brickmythic gave a heads up in the forum yesterday, but my laziness prevented me from posting it on the front page until now. Apparently the NA street date is April 8th for 6873 Spider-man’s Doc Oc Ambush and if that’s true I’ll be counting the days. I am not a fan of Marvel’s Ultimate line of comics, but some of the costumes are fantastic in general and the cartoon looks funny. Iron Fist may be about to make that leap from comic geek obscurity to more mainstream fandom.

2520 Ninjago Battle Arena 75% off

I’ll start with the disclaimer. This is most likely an error on Shop@Home’s part and orders may be cancelled, but right now 2520 Ninjago Battle Arena is marked at 50% off, on sale for $29.98. However, if you add it to your bag the price comes down an additional $12.50, down to $12.48.

3648 Police Chase from the City theme seems to be suffering from the same additional price off. The product page shows a sale price of $19.98, but add it to your bag and the price drops down to $12.48.

Other sets may be affected but in my brief searchings I was unsuccessful in finding anything.

Good luck!

Thanks to VHTF for writing it in.

[USA] Marvel Sets Available @ Walmart.com

6865 Complete

Walmart.com is once again the early bird and has the full assortment of Marvel sets available to purchase online now. Taking into account the speed the DC sets sold out in some locations and the hype surrounding the upcoming Avengers movie, you may want to grab the sets you want when you can get them. I have a feeling the upcoming Easter holiday will wipe out these sets quickly.

Thanks to hassmyster for the heads up!

[NA] Pre-order LEGO Batman 2, Get Lex Luthor

Exclusive Lex Luthor Minifigure

Last week we brought you the news of EB Games Australia’s sweet Lex Luthor pre-order bonus with LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. This week, the bonus has been made available to North Americans! You can pre-order at Gamestop (US) or EB Games (Canada). Because nothing says “Batman” like Lex Luthor in power armor.

[AUS] Exclusive Lex Luthor Figure With Batman 2 Pre-order

Exclusive Lex Luthor Minifigure

It looks like there may be hope for those that found the Lex Luthor figure included in 6862 Superman vs. Power Armor Lex a little bland. I mean, who shows up to battle Superman in a three piece suit? Ok, so they did scrap on occasion in more formal attire and sometimes even in ridiculous shirtless bare-knuckle boxing matches. However, don’t get too excited just yet (I mean about the figure, not the shirtless boxing) because this deal has only popped up on the Australian EB Games site so far and even if the same deal gets offered in other countries it still means pre-ordering the LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes game at full price. I love the LEGO games and if this offer hits Canada it will be the first time I buy one without waiting for the usual price drop, but I just wouldn’t want to risk missing out on this classic look. Fingers crossed!

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Available For Pre-order

Heat Vision

Amazon.com now has the much anticipated LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes for pre-order on all systems (with the sole exclusion of PC) to be released on June 1st. WB Interactive has sent out some interesting images including the below renders of Batman and Lex Luthor.

BatmanLuthor

Since the trailer hit the other day there’s been plenty of buzz about the new charecters and abilities. The trailer makes it very clear that Superman is on the scene and breaking out the heat vision and freeze breath, but fails to highlight his super-strength and x-ray vision which will be the key to many in game secrets. CBR and USA Today have stated that there will be other heroes like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash making appearences as the title suggests and the fans have hoped for. I’m really interested to see how they pull off co-operative play with Green Lantern or especially the scarlet speedster. Just hearing the voices and seeing the three character interact at once threw me for a bit of a loop, so I can’t wait to see what other surprises this game has in store.

[Toys R Us] New Marvel Sets Assemble for Pre-order + New Pics

Thanks to forum member Pro_Ice for pointing out the new LEGO Super Heroes Marvel Universe sets have appeared at Toys R Us for pre-order. They’ve listed an estimated ship date of April 10th, but given The Avengers is a tentpole film release you can bet these sets will be widely available on or around that date at most major retailers. But, if you’re that impatient, the “TRU Tax” doesn’t appear to be in full effect yet, with the larger sets still at MSRP, so for the time being TRU is just a good a place as any (and if you spend over $75 you’ll qualify for free shipping). Check out the forums for a run down of all the new pics (no high-res yet) and links to the sets.
