Update: This deal has expired at this price. It is still available but only with a smaller 10% discount.
Time to load up on Nova officers! Both Amazon and Walmart are offering a 25% price reduction for 76019 Starblaster Showdown. It is now sitting pretty at a mere $15 even. For Amazon, you’ll get Free Super Saver Shipping when your cart is $35 or more; no minimum if you’re a Prime member. For Walmart, the threshold is $50 or you can do free pick up at a Walmart store or FedEx Office location. 76019 Starblaster Showdown comes with Peter Quill aka Starlord, a Nova Officer, and a Sakarran minifigs and was rated a solid 4 out of 5 stars in our review.
There is a pretty good deal on Amazon right now for 76013 Batman: The Joker Steam Roller. It is discounted 22% down to $39.13 as opposed to it’s MSRP of $49.99. It’s sold by a third party, Quidsi Retail LLC, which is a subsidiary of Amazon, but is fulfilled by Amazon which means you can enjoy most of the same benefits as if Amazon were selling it. Free Super Saver Shipping already applies since it’s over $35, and of course Prime members get free two-day shipping.
Either I missed this in my last sales post or the sale price didn’t go into effect until after, but Amazon is discounting 76017 Captain America vs. Hydra by 22%. Regular price is $19.99 but it is now at $15.54. Free Super Saver Shipping starts at $35 or free 2-day with no minimum if you’re a Prime member. 76017 Captain America vs. Hydra comes with Captain America, Red Skull, and a Hydra Henchman.
Amazon is discounting a few Super Heroes sets at 20% or better. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets are also seeing a modest discount. And speaking of TMNT, sets based on the stupid movie are also available.
- 76005 Daily Bugle Showdown regularly priced at $49.99, now discounted 22% down to $39.23
- 76004 Spider-Cycle Chase regularly priced at $19.99, now discounted 26% down to $14.73
- 76003 Superman Battle of Smallville regularly priced at $39.99, now discounted 26% down to $36.99
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (cartoon)
- 79104 The Shellraiser Street Chase regularly priced at $59.99, discounted 19% down to $48.34
- 79121 Turtle Sub Undersea Chase regularly priced at $59.99, discounted 18% down to $49.19
- 79103 Turtle Lair Attack regularly $49.99, discounted 16% down to $41.99
And finally, sets based on the movie. And boy does that movie look stupid. And you know it’s bad when the fifth Step Up movie is rated higher on Rotten Tomatoes than the TMNT movie. The toys look slightly less stupid but I will admit that the van set looks pretty good and will probably roll better than the Shellraiser. I’ve provided links to both Amazon and LEGO Shop@Home for these sets.

Amazon and Walmart are having a bit of a price war, matching each other’s discount on a couple of sets. I’m not sure who fired the first volley but we are all winners. Discounts are applied on some of the older sets that will be retiring soon if they haven’t been already. This is just a sample list of some of the larger sets. Some battle packs may also be discounted down to $10 or less.
A quick break from Comic-Con to bring you a bit of sales news. Forum member psycho013 has alerted us to a pre sale on Amazon for the summer wave of Star Wars sets in the US. The Scout Fighter and Cantina sets are available at about a 15% discount.

Toys’R’Us isn’t the only place in town having a BOGO 40% off sale select LEGO themes. Seems like Amazon wants a piece of the action is offering up their own BOGO 40% off sale. Selection seems to be limited to some Super Heroes, Star Wars, and some Lord of the Rings/Hobbit sets.
Just like the last time this sale came up, the prices are good on the already discounted price. The best deal is once again 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush. It is currently marked down 19% to $81.22. If you purchase two of them, your total discount is -$32.49 dropping the price down to $129.95, making each set cost just under $65 before any tax.
One other item of note is 6860 The Batcave. Though only showing a modest 4% discount,
it has been discontinued and is gone from LEGO Shop@Home’s site so if you’ve procrastinated on this one, now would be a good time to pick up a copy or two. 6860 Batcave comes with Bane, Poison Ivy, Robin, Batman, and Bruce Wayne.
Update: Seems I was somehow dialed into the UK version of the Shop@Home site. 6860 The Batcave is still available from the US Shop@Home site. My apologies for the confusion.
Discount will be reflected on the final page of the ordering process.
