4184 Black Pearl More Widely Available

In all the excitement of the 2012 pictures, this one pretty much flew under the radar. But in addition to 4184 Black Pearl being available at Target stores, (linked above) also has this set for sale. Priced at $99.97, you get free shipping and no tax to most states. LEGO Shop@Home also has this in their inventory for $99.99. You pay for shipping, but since October is double VIP points, you’ll get 199 points credited to your account. There is also a report of this set showing up at Costco at a discounted price of $79.99. Lots of buying options if you’re hankering for the ship from the first movie which also happens to be the best Pirates movie.

PotC Represented At Steam

This gigantic Pirates of the Caribbean mosaic made an appearance at Steam: The Great Western LEGO Show held in Swindon UK. You can head over to TBB and check out the recap posted by guest reviewer JasBrick. I find it interesting that some folks from the UK still managed to make it to Brickcon last weekend despite an event taking place in their own backyard. I really must check out Brickcon one day, but Steam definitely wins for the better name in my book.

4184 Black Pearl Now Available?

4184 Black Pearl

Forum member doodlebird posted news that he was able to obtain a copy of 4184 Black Pearl from his local Target store. Go to the customer service desk and inquire about the set with the DPCI number 204 00 0522. Ask kindly if they can retrieve it from the back, if they don’t have it they’ll be able to look up the inventory level for other stores in the area. Price is $99.99. I’m going to try my luck a bit later. Happy hunting!

Jack Sparrow Minifigure Alarm Clock

Continuing with their minifigure-styled clocks, LEGO introduces a new character in the line up: Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s available for pre-order over at Firebox. According to this Eurobricks post, lists a Barbossa clock as well, but no pictures of said item are on the site.

On a side note, I saw the Ninjago minifigure clock at K-mart the other day, flaming sword accessory and all. Amazon lists him for $24.99.

LEGO Flying Dutchman

Flying Dutchman for POTC game

Bricktrix designed this gorgeous model of the infamous Flying Dutchman for the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean video game.  While it’s a render and not a true MOC, virtually all of the pieces used are official LEGO elements.  If only the Queen Anne’s Revenge and upcoming Black Pearl had turned out this well. . .

[Can] Toys R Us Star Wars Sale Starts Today

Toys R Us Canada has finally extended its month long 20% off sales to the Star Wars line. Unfortunately it only covers a few specific sets, though there is at least one stand out in the crowd.

These selections are in addition to the 20% discount on Cars (ends Sept 28th) and Pirates of the Caribbean (ends Sept 22nd).

They’re still offering $5 off all LEGO Video Games excluding POTC and have dropped all Star Wars: Clone Wars DVD’s by 20%. Not a bad warm up for the coming Bricktober.

[Can] Pirates Of The Caribbean Now 20% Off @ TRU + More!

Toys R Us Canada is now offering 20% off on all Pirates Of The Caribbean sets for two weeks, starting today and running until Sept. 22nd. All Cars LEGO is still 20% off until the 28th, so get your Pirates sets first. The 20% offer also includes all Atlantis, Pharoah’s Quest, Kingdoms, Racers & Technic sets which means that there’s a good chance Star Wars will be up the last week this month.

Also, for the gamers in the crowd, TRU has knocked an additional $5 off of their LEGO video game selection (excluding POTC for some reason) bringing games like LEGO Star Wars III down to just $14.97. That’s quite a savings considering it’s still $20 on Amazon in the US and still $25-$50 most places in Canada.

Additionally, you can hit the store on Saturday between Noon & 2PM for a FREE back to school LEGO build. They’ll only have between 50-100 per site so the early bird gets the worm, just be sure to bring a kid or a convincing excuse that your nonexistent kid is stuck in dance class.
Free brick is free brick.
