Steam’s annual Holiday Sale is on right now and it’s a great chance to grab a boatload of games for dirt cheap. On the list of over 1000 titles, I spotted LEGO Batman at 75% off – just $4.99 – and the Lego Star Wars and Indy games are all 50% off at $9.99 each. Each image above links to the individual sale pages.
At Toys R Us, you can get a LEGO Hero Pack for $4.99 (regularly $24.99) with purchase of any LEGO video game.
This is valid 12/1 only. The older LEGO games are around $19.99, so for the equivalent price of the Hero Pack alone, you get a game, a game guide, and a shirt.
If you haven’t gotten the games yet and have a large shirtless youth running around, now’s the time to stock up. You’ll already be at Toys R Us looking for the Series 3 Minifigures anyway.
shoggoth666 has shared a Toys R Us coupon offering BOGO 50% off “ALL” LEGO construction sets and board games. Use the code 941747 for online purchases.
However, the fine print clearly states:
Excludes Star Wars, Harry Potter,
and Pharaoh’s Quest.
That’s not “ALL,” then, is it, TRU!?
Also, this week’s TRU flyer advertises 40% off the following Indiana Jones sets:
7199 Temple of Doom ($59.99, MSRP $90)
7197 Venice Canal Chase ($26.99, MSRP $39.99).
Not bad, especially since all the IJ sets are sold out on LEGO S@H, and hard to find elsewhere.
The 40% off cannot be combined with the BOGO 50% coupon.
Update: The Pharaoh’s Quest sets do qualify online, and the IJ 40% off sets qualify for BOGO 50% in store. Nice!
Both these promotions are valid Fri 11/19- Sat 11/20.
With the approach of summer sets, there is also the arrival of clearance sales. Reports are flooding in of Summer clearance at Target stores, with themes including Power Miners, City, Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets. Some noteworthy finds include:
8037 Y-Wing 30% off
8039 Venator 30% off
7199 Temple of Doom 30% off
This varies drastically from store to store, but it’s worth checking out if you have a Target nearby. Be sure to check in occasionally over the coming weeks when they up the savings to 50% off or higher. Also be sure to scan clearance items, because they may even have outdated labels and are cheaper than advertised! Happy hunting!
Are you cheap? Do you look longingly at fountains and wishing wells wondering who in their right mind would throw good money away? When you go to a restaurant, do you ask for a group discount if more than one person orders the same dish? If so, then here’s a deal for you: Amazon.com is selling Lego Indiana Jones 2. The Adventure Continues for $20 bucks. It’s available for all the major consoles and for PC too! This is assuming you haven’t picked it up already, but hey, if you’re cheap, you were probably waiting for a price break anyway, amirite?
