ToysRUs.com is having a BOGO sale on all LEGO Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Cars sets that are in stock. Buyer beware: a lot of the sets have a slight markup over MSRP so your actual savings may be less than anticipated. Still, if you combine it with the $25 off purchases of $150 or more by using your MasterCard at checkout, you might be able to get some pretty nice savings. You’ll also get free shipping once your order reaches $49 or more. Deal is good online and as far as I can tell, is only good for Saturday November 26th. It is unknown at this time if the deal is also good in store. Not into Star Wars or Harry Potter or Cars LEGO sets? Fear not, for they will have a BOGO 50% off sale starting Sunday November 27 through December 3rd on all themes EXCEPT Star Wars, Ninjago, and video games.

LEGO Shop@Home is offering double VIP points when you buy 5000068 LEGO® Harry Potter Classic Kit. The kit consists of 4865 The Forbidden Forest, 4866 The Knight Bus, and 4867 Hogwarts and will set you back $96.97. Add something like a Collectible Minifigure Series 5 for $2.99 to bring your total past $99 so you can score free shipping.
Funny thing is, the email that I received clearly shows a picture of 4842 Hogwarts Castle as being offered in the bundle, not the smaller 4867 Hogwarts set. I’m sure they’ll get a couple of angry calls about that little snafu.
Have you picked up the game yet? If not, WB Interactive and TT Games put out the official launch trailer today to whet your appetite. We’ll have a review up on the game within a week give or take a few days.
Looking for a deal on the latest LEGO Harry Potter video game? Well, if you pick the game up at Target when the game releases next Friday, November 11, you’ll get a $10 gift card to go along with that purchase. Unlike Amazon’s $10 credit which only applies to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, Target’s offer will be valid on all platforms (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS, DS, PSP, and PC).
Toys R Us Canada is capping off Bricktober by giving away a FREE 30111 Harry Potter ‘The Lab’ when you spend $35 or more on LEGO. To help make this an easy task for you, they’re offering 2 for $40 on all $24.99 sets & 2 for $60 on all $39.99 sets. I would suggest you head into a store to score your freebie set because it’s temporarily out of stock online (Sorry folks! I would’ve posted this on Friday when the sale started, but I was busy), but that may work to your advantage. Every week I went into the store they had leftover magnets from all the previous weeks, so you may get lucky. Last year, my local store was out of each weeks magnets by the end of the weekend. I wonder why this year’s were so unpopular.
The website Digital Spy has done a great little interview with Athur Parsons, the director of the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 game. He talks about refreshing the gameplay, expanding the already large hub world, translating the dark tone of the final films into a fun filled adventure and why he thinks the LEGO brand games are such a success. For me the most interesting bit involved talk of side scrolling 2-D gameplay, but you’ll have to read it yourself to find out what that’s about. There’s less than a month until the game releases on November 15th and with the rumours of multiple LEGO games coming in the future right up until 2016, it sounds like TT Games is really trying to step it up.
