The newest (and hopefully last) trailer for Zach Snyder’s next attempt to impress/enrage comic book fans comes with the major players in Clark Kent’s life laying out his possible destiny as a symbol of hope for mankind. A lot of changes to the mythos on this one, but if Snyder can deliver even half of the experience the original film gave its audience back in ’78, it should be worth the price of admission.

It only took me about 48 hours to post these new LEGO-ized Iron Man 3 posters after they popped up on ComicBookMovie.com on Saturday, but better late than never. Of course, what caught my eye was the unwarranted inclusion of the Iron Patriot armour in both posters. I hate the thought that he’d pop up as a hard to get exclusive, but the hope is alive either way.
Another Friday and we are blessed with a new episode of TMNT, titled “Enemy of my Enemy”. Of course, Nick.com doesn’t have the preview up online, so YouTube user AkariDreamsTMNT put up his own recorded copy. Zap2it provides the following synopsis:
After witnessing the Kraang in action, Karai realizes the seriousness of the alien threat and proposes an alliance with the Turtles.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles airs tonight at 7pm on Nick.
The latest project to achieve its 10,000 supporters over at LEGO CUUSOO is the Mini Shop Series by Pekko. It moves into the June review window and while CUUSOO has said that these sets are meant to be one off releases, I think there is still hope for this one. The LEGO brand store is already represented with the store opening exclusive 3300003 even if it is more of a microscale set. I’d say the real question is whether or not LEGO still has connections with McDonald’s. Mickey D’s has released a few different LEGO toys in their Happy Meals over the years, including one that should be familiar to long-time fans of the site. Could this arrangement still go both ways? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Forum member jallenuk tweeted us some out-of-package pics of the upcoming May the Fourth promotional figure, Hoth Han Solo. The pics confirm that the final color of the hood will be brown, and not tan as shown on the packaging. You will need to purchase at least $75 in LEGO Star Wars product from LEGO Shop@Home and LEGO Brand Retail stores to receive the figure. The promotional period is from May 4 to May 5, so in a little over 3 weeks.
The figure looks great but my point of it not having a high enough cool factor is still valid.
The poll ended last night and pleased to bring you the winning entries. In first place by a wide margin is agrahmann’s fantastic arcade console:
In second place, with it’s clever color usage for that old school look, MrAnderson’s Attack of the Shredder:
And tied for third, mryoder’s Sewer Patrol and corneliusmurdock’s Ordering a Pizza:
We decided to forgo the a tie breaker poll and instead will award them both a prize, so to our four winners: congratulations! Ace will get in touch with you this week for shipping details. And to everyone who participated by building and voting: thanks again.
With all the Iron Man suits floating around now, I’ve been calling for MOCs of Tony Stark’s Hall of Armour and have found the first one to tickle my fancy. Jared Chan has put together a nice rendition of the hall as seen in the upcoming film and has taken pictures of it as presented in many promotional shots. Tony may be a rich, egotistical engineering genius, but he’s still a guy and what self respecting man cave comes without tunes?
Seriously, I don’t know. I’m more of a rumpus room kind of guy.
Though I do love the term LEGOratory
Welcome to Iain Heath’s solution to the problem of the big, bley, boring SSD. The Rebel Alliance’s mind controlled Space Kraken is a fun and whimsical concept, but if you think this destroyer destroyer is too over the top for Star Wars…. no seriously have you seen the Clone Wars? Based on that, my experiences with the old Marvel comics and other EU stuff, yeah this could totally happen and should. Head over to the Jelly Flickr page and read the full story. I wonder if Disney is taking script submissions.
Many Ewoks were harmed in the making of this super weapon.
I’m just finally getting around to updating the post on the “Unlock The Armor” game from Facebook. While there were disappointingly only two more suits, the interesting part is the images of the full armours head to toe that were also revealed. This is the best look we’ve seen of some of these suits and should help builders and customizers alike. I’d hoped to get a good look at the arms of the “Red Snapper” and was amused and delighted at the different design. It’s nice to see Tony is working towards having a suit for any occasion as he has in the comics for years. His on screen OCD is finally showing.
If you missed out on the early sales of The Lone Ranger sets from Walmart last week, Amazon has started accepting pre-orders for some of them with a shipping date set for April 15. They’ve listed the following:
No sign yet of 79109 Colby City Showdown, 79110 Silver Mine Shootout, or 79111 Constitution Train Chase but we’ll update this post as soon as they have them listed.
