Toys “R” Us has The Hobbit LEGO board game available to pre-order for $34.99. I’ll be adding this one to my game collection and look forward to picking it up when it’s released on September 24th.

_Tiler has taken the latest incarnation of the Batmobile and MINIfied it. My favorite part of the photo of is the reflection off of the cheese slopes used for the windows. It’s a great effect to give it that glass look.

Zombies Now Available At LEGO Shop@Home
I love me some zombies. So please pardon the interruption with non-licensed set news, but if you wanted to get some zombies for your monster fighters to… uh, fight, then 9465 The Zombies ought to do it. It is a Target exclusive but you can buy it from Shop@Home right now. It will cost you $39.99 for three zombies, a zombie fighter, Mjolnir, a hammer truck and a pair of sarcophagi.

Super Hero Stop Motion Cinema Contest Reminder: Two Weeks To Go
Heads up: as of midnight tonight you have exactly two weeks left to enter our current contest. That’s still plenty of time to come up with a 30 second clip so if this is your first attempt at such a challenge there’s no need to worry. The prizes provided by Lego should be enough incentive to get your creative juices flowing. You do need the free LEGO Super Heroes Movie Maker app and an iOS device to run it of course, but the rules are pretty straight forward (you can read those right here). Man Of Steel Teaser Arrives
I guess I should say “teasers” even though these two are identical save the differing voice overs provided by Kevin Costner’s Jonathan Kent and Russell Crowe’s Jor-El. Not much going on in the teaser really, but the film is still a long way off and if this is the tone of the final product I’ll happily ignore the goofy new unitard to check it out.
If we only get one Man Of Steel set based on what I’ve seen so far, I hope it’s bearded emo-Clark and Krypto on their super crab boat.
