[US] Toys R Us 20% Off Facebook Coupon is Back

TRU Facebook Image

The “20% Off for ‘R’ Fans” coupon has returned to the Toys R Us Facebook page. Head over there to print out a coupon. Like last time, you’ll have to play around with deleting your cookies and refreshing the page to get multiple coupons. Coupons each have a unique barcode and can only be used once. They can be used on most in-stock, regular priced items.

Supposedly the coupon will stack with the current $10 off $50/ $25 off $100 ALL LEGO promotion, so long as the purchase still exceeds $100. However, the $25 off promotion for the larger LEGO Star Wars sets has ended.

[US] – TRU $10 off $50, $25 off $100 All LEGO

Through Sept. 3, TRU is offering discounts on all LEGO purchases both online and in-store: $10 off a $50 purchase, $25 off a $100 purchase.  Put another way, this is $40 for $50 of LEGO, or $75 for $100 of LEGO.  Even better, they are still offering 25% off 7962 Anakin’s and Sebulba’s Podracers, 7964 Republic Frigate, and 7965 Millennium Falcon sets, and forum user DarthMC reports that these discounts will stack online!  With free shipping over $75, this is a solid deal.

21010 Robie House Release Party Saturday 8/27

21010 Robie House - Front Building

Just a reminder that tomorrow Saturday August 27, 2011, there will be a “release party”, and I use that term loosely, held at the actual Robie House that Frank Lloyd Wright built. Of course, this only matters to people living in the Chicago area but if you’re one of those people and want to be one of the first to own what is for sure going to be the next gold standard for Architecture sets, you can pick one up between the hours of 10am to 4pm. Adam Reed Tucker will be on hand to talk about the set and possibly sign his autograph. Museum members can purchase the set for $179.99, saving 10% off of MSRP. Non-member price is $199.99 The Robie House is located at 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave Chicago, IL 60637.

If you don’t plan on going, the official on sale date for the set is September 1. We’ll announce its availability here if it’s any sooner.

Falcon, Frigate, and Podracers 20% Off at Amazon

In an effort to match the Toys R Us 25% off deal this weekend, Amazon has posted their own deals on the new 7965 Millennium Falcon, 7964 Republic Frigate, and 7962 Anakin’s & Sebulba’s Podracer sets. Amazon’s 20% discount is taken off the MSRP, so right away this deal comes out ahead. Plus, factor in Free Shipping and no sales tax in some areas, this makes for one of the best deals on these three great sets in the short time they’ve been available.

[UK] Woolworths Bank Holiday 20% Discount is back

It may well be looking like a rainy Bank Holiday for us Brits, but we can console ourselves by getting a nice discount on Lego from Woolworths, who’ve decided to knock 20% off all Toys this weekend.  Click this link for a list of Lego products.

I’ve had a quick look but couldn’t find any discount codes for free delivery, but there may be some out there if you can find them

10221 Super Star Destroyer Now Available at LEGO Shop@Home

It’s the biggest set of the year and as far as I can tell, 10221 Super Star Destroyer is available in most regions serviced by LEGO’s Shop@Home website. So, do you drop the 399.99 US/499.99 CAD/399.99 EUR/349.99 GBP (and tax in some regions) now or wait for free shipping? Can you resist the temptation of Dengar?

[USA] Falcon, Podracers, and Republic Frigate 25% Off at Toys’R’Us

That’s right, three of the newest sets, 7962 Anakin’s and Sebulba’s Podracers, 7964 Republic Frigate and 7965 Millennium Falcon are 25% off at TRU on 8/26 and 8/27. In store, you may need a coupon which can be found here. 25% off isn’t great, but it does drop the prices from TRU markup levels to below MSRP. The email I received says that all LEGO Star Wars sets are on sale as well.

7965 Millennium Falcon

There are a couple of freebie items (LEGO Favor Fun Value Bundle and LEGO Ninjago Skeleton Chopper) for purchases of $50 and $30 respectively. Free shipping for purchases of over $75.

However, a slight caveat (at least online) is that there is a limit of 1 of each set, so don’t expect to grab 2 identical sets for you and a friend with free shipping. No clue if the stores will enforce that, though. Good luck!

2012 Exclusives Set List, UCS (?) R2-D2 and B-wing Included

Thanks to Dutch toy shop and Brickset for breaking the news, we now have a glimpse of LEGO’s UCS/Shop@Home exclusives for 2012. And the list is with the most interesting parts highlighted:

  • 10223 Kingdoms Joust
  • 10224 Town Hall
  • 10225 R2-D2
  • 10226 Sopwith Camel
  • 10227 B-Wing

The B-wing set excites me the most as it is one of my favorite ships from the OT. I can only assume that it would be either proper minifig scale ship or heaven help me a UCS ship. If the latter, then I’ll squeal like a little girl. I cannot wait to see it given the UCS treatment. As far as R2-D2, pure speculation on my part but it could look like this:

Target R2-D2

The above image was the model displayed in Target stores many years back as a promotional gimmick. You had to guess the number of bricks used to win the model. I could also imagine a Power Functions type of model with special sound bricks, remote control, and motors galore.

Thanks to JamesBenjamin for reposting the list on our forums.

It should be noted that took down their pages. Brickset also has complied with LEGO’s request, but given this day and age of information, the internet, and the speed in which it can be disseminated, do they honestly think they can put the toothpaste back in the tube? We’ll see if any such takedown notices come my way, in the meantime, share your thoughts in our existing thread.

[UK] Argos Reduces Prices on Several LEGO Sets, Including Some Pirates of the Caribbean!

Argos in the UK have reduced several Lego sets, although it does seem a little random which ones have their prices reduced.  The pick of the bunch are the newer Pirates Of The Caribbean sets, including the above pictured Whitecap Bay set which is reduced by 39%.  Check out the full list of reduced sets here.

Sadly, no Star Wars sets feature in this mini sale.  Local stock may vary.
