LEGO Star Wars III Delayed

Traveller’s Tales latest installment of LEGO-based video games, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, has been delayed to March 22. Not much of a delay, so hopefully they’re taking the time to create a bug-free game, which they have yet to do. The game will be available on all current platforms.

HJR-Holland’s Starspeeder 3000

starspeeder-3000-00

Will I ever tire of this ship? Probably not. And it’s good to see I’m not the only one. Now that the ride is retired, I’m always tickled pink to see nicely done MOCs of the ship and HJR-Holland delivers. He’s even built a docking bay to go with it.

More Star Wars Miniland Models Arrive At LEGOLAND CA

First SW Miniland Models Arrive

By now, you’ve seen the video that Ryan reported a few days ago showing the Millennium Falcon model being hauled into the park. I received assets from LEGOLand California a few days ago with more photos of some of the models at the Model Shop and being installed in their respective areas. Enjoy!

A Quick Note About Confidential Images

The LEGO Group recently released an open letter regarding leaked images and trade magazine scans that reveal future products. You can read all the details in this PDF. We will continue to honor their request by removing  such images from our forum as this has always been part of our “Respect the Brick” Policy – even after relaxing our approach when we revamped the site two years ago.

Let’s Talk: FBTB Star Wars Days Event

At BrickCon in 2008 FBTB held its first event, a small gathering of members and friends we called BothCon.

In 2011, we’re planning something bigger in correlation with Legoland California Resort’s Star Wars Days on June 18-19th. But we need your help brainstorming and providing feedback if we’re going to pull off a successful FBTB mini-convention.

We’re conducting a poll to gauge interest in and potential attendance for this special event. Your vote and feedback will help us determine if this idea has legs, or it’s destined for the Death Star trash compactor.

Head to the forum here to vote in the poll, and join in the discussion about activities, locations, pros, cons, and everything in between.

Review: 7913 Clone Trooper Battle Pack

cbp1

I’ve never been a big fan of the Clone Wars style figures, so it’s hard to believe this is my favorite battle pack so far. Apart from one real gripe (and my typical hatred of the unbearably ugly clone face) this almost qualifies as “perfect”.

NEW! Toy Story Alarm Clocks

By now we’ve all probably seen the giant Lego Alarm Clocks in the shape of various Star Wars characters, well … it seems the Toy Story line is also getting the treatment.  Firebox.com have listed these today :

Priced at £24.99 in the UK and available to pre-order (the pictures are links).  Not sure on US availability yet, but I’m sure you’ll see them over there soon enough!

LEGO Shop@Home Up to 75% Off Clearance!

Magnet Set

Finally, some news!

Nannan found that LEGO Shop@Home has further reduced some of the sets in the sales section to as much as 75% Off. As of this posting, that means you can get magnet sets for $4.48 each. That’s a steal, considering the rarity of the figures anyway. At that price you can even forgive the lower quality materials that may have been used.

>>C-3PO™, Princess Leia™ & Admiral Ackbar™
>>Chancellor Palpatine™, Nute Gunray™ and Onaconda Farr™
>>Magnet Set: Han Solo™, Paploo™ and Biker Scout™

All of the minifigure keychains on sale have been reduced to just $1.48 as well. Sadly 8078 Shadow Snapper and 7746 Single Drum Roller were a mere $8.48 each, but that incredible price meant that they sold out fast.
