TRU – LEGO Hero Packs $4.99 with Game Purchase – 12/1 Only

LEGO Star Wars Hero PackLEGO Indiana Jones Hero PackLEGO Batman Hero Pack

At Toys R Us, you can get a LEGO Hero Pack for $4.99 (regularly $24.99) with purchase of any LEGO video game.

These Hero Packs include a game guide and a T-shirt (youth large size). You can choose from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman.

This is valid 12/1 only. The older LEGO games are around $19.99, so for the equivalent price of the Hero Pack alone, you get a game, a game guide, and a shirt.

If you haven’t gotten the games yet and have a large shirtless youth running around, now’s the time to stock up. You’ll already be at Toys R Us looking for the Series 3 Minifigures anyway.

Minifigure Series 3 Spotted At TRU

Collectible Figs Series 3 Dot-code

Fellow LUG member Kelly reports buying Minifigure Series 3 at her local TRU (Los Feliz store in SoCal in case you’re wondering). They qualified for the current BOGO sale, 18 packs costed her $45 which works out to… $3 per pack? I thought they were $4 each. In any case, stay diligent and you may get lucky. And don’t forget your cheat sheet.

Empire Director Irvin Kershner Passes

The director of the The Empire Strikes Back, the best Star Wars movie ever made, has passed at the age of 87 today in Los Angeles.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force…as if millions of
voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear
something terrible has happened.

- Obi-Wan Kenobi

I couldn’t think of anything from Empire that was appropriate, so Old Ben’s quote will have to do.

Thanks to Joedward and John Schneider for the notice.

Amazon Gold Box Deal for 9pm 11/29

Amazon lists a LEGO Clock Gold Box deal for 9pm (PST) 11/29. The description reads:

Keep time with your favorite droids, LEGO style!

I’m kinda hoping it’s the Stormtrooper minifigure clock, but it’s probably one of the wrist watches. Gold Box deals tend to go in seconds, so get your clicking finger ready. Good luck and here’s hoping!

Tim Steff from our forums found some more cool alarm clocks at his local Walmart: a Clone Wars era Yoda and Anakin Skywalker. The Stormtrooper’s still the best, though.
