In paying homage to the closing of the original Star Tours ride, Jordan Schwartz (Sir Nadroj) built this mightily impressive StarSpeeder 3000. LEGO missed a great opportunity in making an official set out of this now that the ride has closed. Here’s hoping the next ride will yield something.

Amazon.com is offering a free downloadable PDF of a LEGO Harry Potter Poster (link on the right of page). The poster is essentially a 2010 Minifigure Gallery of the LEGO Harry Potter line.
If you missed out on the 3-for-2 deal at Toys’R’Us last week, you can preorder the sets on Amazon. Free shipping and no tax to most states, this is currently the best preorder option available.
Walmart online is offering 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack and 7749 Echo Base bundled together for $29.00 with free shipping to store. Not bad at about $8 off MSRP. I just got back from a Walmart myself, and didn’t see this in-store (yet), but with free site to store shipping, the patient buyer can still get a pretty sweet deal.
If you missed out on 10199 Winter Toy Shop last year, you may have a chance at picking one up. I noted before that the overseas Shop@Home market is currently selling 10199 Winter Toy Shop and still is. There is still no official word whether this set is making a comeback to the US Market. In any case, if you’re fast enough you can pick one up from Amazon right now. If you’re not, keep checking the page as stock seems to come and go.
Had I known LEGO was going to be releasing a holiday themed set every year, I would have made damn sure to pick up a Holiday Train a few years back.
Hot on the heals of the Boots 3 for 2 deal (which is still going, by the way) … Argos have only gone and started their own 3 for 2 deal. This deal covers ALL toys, with the cheapest item being free. All toys are subject to availability and as you can imagine, this is going to be an extremely popular deal, so you might have to get in there quick!
The deal lasts until 28th September 2010 and is instore and online.
The MOC Madness is in the second-to-last phase of voting. After this round, there is one more set of polls to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Polls are now open for voting for the next three days. Without further ado, your Final Four are:

Hi fellow Bothans! I’m Chris, or you guys know me as HoboBob1138. I’ll be doing the MOC Spotlights, as well as some other MOC features in the coming months. Good to meet you guys, and if you have any questions feel free to PM (just don’t go overboard ;))
Today we have THX 1138’s Zam’s Airspeeder. One of my favorite speeders from the Star Wars Universe, as well as one of my favorite sets LEGO did for Episode II. Very well done, in my opinion, and very close to minifig scale. The striping on the forward pylons is spot on, and the windshield is very true to the actual speeder. All it needs now is Anakin dropping in on top and trying to cut his way in. Good Job THX 1138!
