Amazon’s Having A Sale

I was just browing Amazon.com’s clearance section, and they have a couple of LEGO Star Wars items for sale, including LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s 10179 Millennium Falcon for $100 off. Hit the banner and do a search for “LEGO Star Wars” to see all their items.

Toys’R’Us Acquires eToys

eToys is like the killer in horror movies. You don’t know where he’s been, what he’s been up to, and why he just won’t die. Well apparently, Toys’R’Us decided to acquire eToys. This is an interesting move on TRU’s part. Maybe it’s just me, but I never got a strong impression that eToys was that strong of a brand. They were absorbed by KB*Toys during their last struggling days of online toy selling. I haven’t read the article completely but I’m guessing KB*Toys is struggling enough to sell off the brand. Thanks to Chat room member Tohst for sharing.

Forum: 400 members and counting

Just thought I would drop a post that we’re already at 400 registered members… and as far as I can tell, no spam among them!

We’re continuing to help new folks who have joined up and need to troubleshoot their memberships, so not all those 400 are posting quite yet, but still, I’d say this is a remarkable number to hit after launching the new site just 2 days ago!

Forum Registration FAQs

Q: Why can’t I log in?
A: If you’re using your account information from the old forum, there’s your first problem. This is a brand new forum, and thus all members require a new registration.

Q: Okay guys, I knew that. I registered on the new forum. I still can’t log in.
A: Did you get the Activation Email? If not, check your spam folder. Many people have found the admin email there.

Q: Hmm. Nope, no emails anywhere. What do I do now?
A: Email [email protected] and we’ll try to help you. Like the two dozen forum registrations I just activated because I recognized the usernames from the old forum and saw they were inactive.

We understand the first week or so is going to be hectic around here, so we’re going to be doing our best to get you in, but we can only hold your hand for so long ;) And your hands are chapped from building so much Lego, and ew you have cooties, too!

2009 SW Magnets (Now Available in US!)

Thanks to Firespray on the forum for letting us know that 4 new magnet sets are now available in the US (after an earlier release in Europe.)

Yoda, Count Dooku, and Mace Windu

It’s worth noting that all three of the figures in this pack come in expensive sets in the SW line, so at $15 this magnet pack is a steal!

See the other new offerings below, including sweet Slave Leia (sadly fleshy, not beautiful yellow) and Darth Maul magnets:

Boba Fett, Slave Leia, Royal Guard Chewie, Obi-Wan, Darth Vader

Anakin, Naboo Pilot, Darth Maul

The TRU 25% off Thing

Please accept my apology for the previous post about the TRU 25% off sale. There were some crossed wires in the tip line; apparently the sale was only in Canada, as posted below by Jeremy.

To anyone who rushed out and came home empty handed and with tears in your eyes (and there are several already who contacted me,) I profusely apologize. :(

Pepa Quin has just shared, however, that Power Miners are 25% off, so maybe that could be some consolation to you.
