CIV Draws To A Close
Well, today was the last day of Celebration IV and it went out with a fizzle more than a bang. The day was kind of slow in terms of attendance. It was a shorter day ending at 4:00pm so that’s understandable. Got to meet johnsocal from our forums, and Ryan “Lights” Wood dropped by with his lovely wife. Overall, it was a great show and I had a lot of fun meeting a lot of people. To be honest, the best part of the show though was hanging out with Steve, Gary and Erik. Steve is a great guy and such a fan of the product. His focus on his role in Community Relations is admirable. Gary has such energy and enthusiasm, just hanging out with him for 2 minutes will make you want to smile. He’s got a great sense of humor and passion for the hobby, I think LEGOLand is lucky to have him. Getting to know Erik was an honor. He has a calm demeanor that belies his youthful outlook and seeing his portfolio of work just blew my mind. They are a great bunch of guys and if you ever have a chance to work with any of them for any show or project, don’t pass it up.
